Gunas
(Qualities):
tamas-heavy, stable, dense, decreases vata and pitta
and increases kapha

gravitation, downward attraction, spreading

Dristi:
all drisitis have a stabilizing effect on the mind:
gazing downward or at hand, nose is particularly
grounding; closing the eyes and sensing inwardly
Bhava (feeling):
grounding, stabilizing, nurturing, embodiment

Tala (rhythm):
steady, even, bass, downbeat
Asanas:
all asanas relate
to the gravitational pull of the
earth, particularly standing poses, forward bends, hip
openers, and restoratives that emphasize stillness,
production, and "ground force" - apana vayu.
Pranayama:
Yogic:
exhale of the breath, lengthening the exhale, exhaling
through one's mouth
Sufism:
In and out through the nose, spreading the breath
across the earth, both breaths are equal in length
MEDITATIONS:
Mediatation #1
Allow the body to yield to gravity in all asanas ,
being rooted by the deeper pull of Earth (pruthivi).
Meditation #2
Experience a current of energy flowing alternately
from the earth to you, and you to the earth, as you
breathe in and out.
Meditation #3
Experience a peace that extends out from yourself in
all directions, changing the conditions around you.
